   ServiceShield is AMP's subscription-based electrical maintenance program. It combines a facility-specific NFPA 70B-based plan, quarterly on-site inspections, condition reporting, program management, and planned NETA maintenance testing.

2. How does ServiceShield support NFPA 70B compliance?

   ServiceShield helps facilities build and document an electrical maintenance program based on NFPA 70B. AMP assesses enrolled equipment, plans maintenance around equipment condition and criticality, performs recurring inspections and scheduled testing, documents deficiencies, and tracks recommended actions.

3. What changed with the 2023 edition of NFPA 70B?

   The 2023 edition changed NFPA 70B from a recommended practice to a standard, formalizing requirements within the standard for electrical equipment maintenance and a documented electrical maintenance program.

4. Is ServiceShield the same as periodic NETA maintenance testing?

   No. Planned NETA maintenance testing remains part of the program, while ServiceShield adds quarterly visual and environmental inspections, condition monitoring, reporting, deficiency tracking, and program management between outage-based testing cycles.

5. How often are ServiceShield inspections performed?

   The core program includes quarterly on-site inspections. ServiceShield+ can add expanded inspection frequency, and ServiceShield Gold can include monthly inspections for critical assets.

6. What is included in a ServiceShield condition report?

   Each quarterly report includes the enrolled equipment list, condition ratings, photos, identified deficiencies, and recommended actions. Reports are managed through AMP's ampOS reporting platform.

7. Does ServiceShield include arc flash and NFPA 70E support?

   ServiceShield+ includes NFPA 70B and NFPA 70E training. ServiceShield Gold adds arc flash study and SCCAF program management, load-flow analysis, labels and model updates, and expanded maintenance testing.

8. How is ServiceShield pricing determined?

   Pricing is based on the number of equipment assets enrolled in the program. AMP begins with a facility walkthrough to define the equipment scope, inspection frequency, testing cycles, and coverage level.

9. Does ServiceShield guarantee NFPA 70B compliance?

   ServiceShield provides a facility-specific plan, inspections, testing, documentation, and program management designed to support NFPA 70B compliance. Facility owners remain responsible for completing corrective actions and meeting requirements that apply to their equipment and jurisdiction.
