The Field Technician (NETA I) is responsible for inspecting, testing, collecting data, and maintaining electrical power equipment at customer sites. This role works hands-on with electrical systems including circuit breakers, transformers, grounding systems, and other protective devices, while adhering to strict safety and quality standards.

- Perform low, medium, and high-voltage switchgear and circuit breaker testing
- Test medium-voltage power cables
- Perform power transformer testing
- Test electro-mechanical, microprocessor-based, and solid-state protective relays
- Follow all electrical safety standards, company procedures, and site-specific requirements
- Review manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and consult with other technicians to troubleshoot equipment issues and determine optimal operating parameters
- Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and clean electrical equipment and components
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and reports detailing testing, maintenance, and repairs performed
- Collaborate with team members and provide technical support to customers as needed
- Provide after-hours or weekend support as scheduled or in emergency situations
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Trade school, associate’s degree, or technical coursework in electrical engineering, or a related field is a plus
- Experience with or basic familiarity with NETA standards and testing requirements preferredThe physical demands described are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
